Our programs featuring western Newfoundland and southern Labrador feature a greater variety of songbirds than our eastern Newfoundland trips but eastern Newfoundland is blessed with some of the planet’s most remarkable seabird gatherings. Our Viking Trail Experience itinerary does include opportunities to view puffins, arctic terns, fulmars, razorbills, murres, shearwaters, shorebirds, and more; however, it is eastern Newfoundland that features the spectacle of hundreds of thousands of murres, gannets, and puffins flying and feeding together.
